Why Sara The Belles?

I feel that I must share why I selected the afore-mentioned to all who read my blog. Several years ago I had the misfortune of losing my beloved little sister Sarah Brownlow to ovarian cancer. Can't describe the pain and emptiness that I felt when I lost her.

You see, she was my best friend and prayer partner. We were both teachers and share a world of trials and errors. We were college dorm sisters during our graduate years of college, and we laughed and cried during our struggle with writing our thesis. Sarah was writing her "paper" on computers, and I was writing the big one---my doctoral dissertation. We both slept very little, shared a typewriter, and we both lost about 20 pounds! What were we thinking? At times I felt we were Lucy and Ethel trying to get an education because we went through so much together!

As I write this note, tears are running down my face because I was there when she transitioned from Earth to Heaven. I didn't know what to expect, I had never seen a loved one die in my presence. I had to let her go, and I knew it was going to be hard to accept. We shared her experience with chemo and surgeries. I saw the effects of ovarian cancer, and its hideous attacks on my sister's body.

I know that she is in a better place--can't deny that, but boy do I miss her! My background has given the grace to let her go--but also to retain those wonderful memories. After her death, I must have cried for over several months, and during that time I asked for consolation.

Then one day my prayer was answered! I inherited a little black Havana rabbit with large dark eyes. As I began to observe my newly acquired rabbit---bingo!--I noticed that the rabbit had my sister's attitude--quite feisty you see.

Every morning I wake up to feed that beautiful black rabbit that has brought so much joy to my life. Some day I hope to share some of my experiences with Sara The Belles, and the many adventures of Sarah Brownlow and Debbie Garza.

This will really make a best seller to read!
